Winter Wellness Drive for Classroom United





From January 1-31, the United Way of Caldwell County is hosting a Winter Wellness Drive for Classroom United. Classroom United is a vital resource center that provides school supplies and resources at no cost- to Caldwell County teachers. Since the start of the school year, Classroom United has distributed over 15,000 supplies to over 278 teachers Right now, Classroom United is completely out of disinfecting wipes and running low on tissues. Our teachers need help keeping classrooms healthy during cold and flu season. January brings fresh starts and a surge in winter germs. North Carolina educators are spending around $1,300 of their own money on school supplies-$400 more than the national average, according to a study conducted by the North Carolina Association of Educators. 📍Drop off donations at Classroom United (1248 Hickory Blvd SW, Lenoir, NC) Hours: Monday, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3:00-5:30 pm. Please note that we will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 💙Host a donation box at your local business or organization. Drop off supplies to us at the end of the month, or contact us for a pickup. We've put together a done for you press kit that you can download here. Inside, you'll find text you can copy/paste to share about our drive, as well as social media graphics, and flyers you can print to put on a box for collections.
