Feeding Kids Facing Food Insecurity
Our Weekend Food Backpack Program is facilitated at the United Way of Caldwell County office and serves 8 schools in our county. In the 2025-26 school year, we distributed 3,488 bags of food to kids in need!
Each bag is delivered to a school and provides 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and 2 snacks, enough to ensure kids are fed over the weekend!
How you can help
All food is purchased by the United Way of Caldwell County. Our program is also sustained by community donations. Please shop our Amazon Wishlist here to have food shipped directly to our office! We also take donations of plastic bags. We go through hundreds of bags weekly! Please double bag your standard grocery bags before dropping them off to our office.
